  • Weekly Tour Walk to Bird Island - August 22, 2018

    Date: August 22, 2018

     Guided educational walks to Bird Island & Kindred Spirit Mailbox: Hosted this summer by the Bird Island Preservation Society Stewards. Walks begin on the 40th Street & Main St.  boardwalk walkover to the beach at 8:30-1030am, every Wednesday from May 30 through September 5, and will last about 2.5 hours. BRING YOURSELF WATER and strong sun protection!  Last year, more than 650 people took the weekly Bird Island walking tours. Carmel Zetts with the Sunset Beach Turtle Patrol said sometimes they had to break participants into two or three groups to accommodate all the people taking these walking tours.  The Read more [...]
